“We were supposed to half a half hour talk to give us directions. Instead, our guide spent about 1.5 hours telling us the history of the Jewish Quarter. The only problem was that it was very hot and he kept stopping us in full sunlight instead of choosing a shady spot to stop and talk. Several people had to leave the group and stand in a shady area. The cemetery visit is quite emotional, especially when one hears the history of suppression and the stories of strength and leadership within the community.”
